To celebrate their ongoing commitment to social change and equity, Omidyar Network hosted an immersive reception at Lightbox (248 W 37th St). As a venue, Lightbox is defined by its cutting-edge, 360-degree projection mapping—a sophisticated visual environment that presents a unique challenge for event photography.

Because standard flash photography can easily wash out the intricate digital displays, this shoot required a highly controlled technical approach. By balancing ambient light with precision-targeted strobe work, I was able to capture the vibrant energy of the attendees and high-stakes conversations while preserving the integrity of the immersive projections. The resulting imagery reflects the high-tech, forward-thinking spirit of the Omidyar Network within one of Manhattan’s most demanding visual spaces.
